I thought for a moment and turned around only to be met by the craziest storm. Lightning, thunder, crashing, windy, crazy! I was in the middle of some fields. Too slippery to gallop home, no trees. So I headed for the next best thing, a cornfield. By the time I was back home it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14523660446608394720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-90344768247278789622010-07-24T11:45:36.091-06:002010-07-24T11:45:36.091-06:00Glad you got some rain. Except for a few brief showers, the rain has been going around us.

Your story sounds like the same summer, I believe it was 2006, when we got so much rain. It was in July and it rained over 3 inches in an hour. Our house was surrounded with water, but it sits up so no water was getting into it. The area closest to the horses' stable was about 6 inches deep. Fortunately, the lot goes up from there so they had ground to stand in that wasn't under water.

DanDan and Bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16528072506443312280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-23928357610952968552010-07-24T09:11:14.540-06:002010-07-24T09:11:14.540-06:00Wow, when it rains it pours there!
