I think he feels threatened by the chickens. I really hope he doesn't get horrible about guarding his food. He lets me do whatever so I'm not going to worry about it. :)Achieve1dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15401246064499148344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-83137989011580500002011-03-10T22:07:23.819-07:002011-03-10T22:07:23.819-07:00Yeah, from the two Dennis Reis clinics I've be...Yeah, from the two Dennis Reis clinics I've been to, I mostly agree with his training methods.

Dan- Apache likes to stand down by my horses, especially in the mornings when I feed.

Lisa- Apache was really feeling good that morning, bucking and rolling and having a great time.

RR- Lisa is my neighbor. She is the one who got me into blogging.

Gray Horse- it can snow overnight and be gone by evening here so it's not too bad.

Achieve1Dream- Actually I change it up a lot. I have some large plastic tubs that I use to feed them grain at ground level or sometimes I'll just hold the tub for them to eat out of. I almost always feed the horses hay on the ground even though there is some risk of sand colic. It's more dirt than sand here fortunately. Yalla! seems to prefer eating her grain out of the feeder nowadays. She tends to chomp down on the sides of the bucket and spill it everywhere whenever she can.Fantastyk Voyagerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15065772565014490544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-11910294122623622462011-03-10T19:53:46.194-07:002011-03-10T19:53:46.194-07:00I love that last one too!

It looks uncomfortably high, but that could just be the angle of the picture. Not trying to be judgmental or anything, just curious. :) I love seeing pictures of the beautiful girl.Achieve1dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15401246064499148344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-31103975269013840902011-03-10T06:49:09.447-07:002011-03-10T06:49:09.447-07:00Sorry to see you're still getting snow too. Her ears are so tippy and dainty in that photo.

Looks like Apache was staring up at me in the barn in that one photo. I was laughing at her because of her funny little bucks and rears. She reminded me of a rocking horse without the rocker. lol!

~LisaLaughing Orca Ranchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03562627840013868980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3898420772649186550.post-7564122450593893512011-03-09T09:42:42.897-07:002011-03-09T09:42:42.897-07:00Nice pictures. When he came on the scene and was so into the 'Cowboy Dressage', I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I was always sorry I never got to attend one of his clinics. He was far and away a much better rider and trainer than most of the clinicians I have seen these days. But I often wondered if he was just too far advanced for the majority of horse owners today and that is why he has resorted to doing the same thing as everyone else now? Glad to hear you enjoyed it though.BrownEyed Cowgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03610547057139295854noreply@blogger.com
