Annie rolled and rolled. Yalla! must be wondering what she's doing. While Mom rolled, Yalla! and Scout exchange small talk.Annie must have gotten up and told Yalla! "Yalla!" (let's go!) I love how she is following Annie and Scout is just watching like, "what's the big deal? We were only talking."
Then Nadia had to roll too! So much for all my clean horses!
Yalla! ran around as if to say, "doesn't anyone want to play?""I wonder what's over here?"I've only ever seen Yalla! roll once so she was the only clean one left. However, she's so dark, she doesn't show dirt anyway. Notice how her legs are getting blacker and blacker. And she's getting so fuzzy from our cold nights. It looks like her winter coat is going to be brown. She still has that "F" on her forehead. I hope she keeps it.

How fun! The horses all looked like they had so much fun, especially after all that rain you had!
Our horses are growing in their fur coats as I speak, and we are going to be in the 80's for awhile. Poor things. They will be sweating. Baby Chance is growing her fur coat, she is all cute and fuzzy!
Yalla! looks so much like Chance. Except for the head of course! You have a beautiful Arab head, I have a beautiful Mustang head!
Looks like your young one is going to be quite the looker!
Winter coats are certainly growing in. I kissed Indigo on the forhead the other day and forgot my lesson I learned a wile ago. Never wear chapstick around a shedding horse.
Horses winter coats grow in, not because of the cold weather but because of less light. The less light the more the hormones tell the horses body to grow hair. You can keep a horse real slick without a blanket by keeping them under lights 16 or more hours a day like summer.
Thanks Sydney, for the info. You are a wealth of information! LOl, on the hairy chapstick!!
Paint Girl, yes, they are very similar in color except that Chance has that gorgeous red in her tail! Yalla! still has a dorsal stripe running down her back just like Chance. Actually, Mustangs and Arabs have similar breeding although Chance probably has more Barb than Arab blood.
Great pictures. I love watching herd dynamics. Yallah's growing into an impressive young girl.
Dan
Thanks for the pictures. It's fun watching horses interact.
