Hmm, maybe it was under there the whole time and now that she's shedding it's come out again. F = Fantastyk!
Yes, it was under there all the time! She was born with a big white star like a feather plume which turned into the letter "f" last summer. Then, during the winter, the white hair grew in making it a big white star and now, voila! it's turning into an f again. I love it! I'm glad, cause now it matches her registration papers, lol. She still needs to shed out so it will thin out some more into the perfect letter. And actually, she seems to be the only one of my horses that can grow a decent forelock so it's going to get covered up a lot of the time.
Yay!!! Her star is back!! :) When will we see new pictures of Yalla?
I can't wait to see what she and Chrome are going to look like in their spring/summer coats. I keep brushing Chrome a lot hoping he'll shed out faster lol! He's shed a lot of the long fur on his face (except for his awesome Friesian beard lol) and it's starting to look very clean and refined. I'm loving that he inherited the Arab face. He does have the upright stance of a Friesian though and I'm so happy about that. He also inherited the Friesian hair gene, but when he and Zep play together they are ripping his mane out around his withers. :( I don't want to stop them from playing, but it sure is ugly. I put some MTG (smells like sulpher) on his mane hoping it would deter Zep, but I don't think it has lol.

I guess you'll have to call her Fallah to make it appropriate.

I can't believe how fast her mane, forelock and tail are growing now, too. She's cute right now....but she's going to be a 'looker' when she's all grown up.
