Spitting the dawn, come come come along before the animals awake

The sunrise was gorgeous this morning so I took my camera along to feed the horses.
It looked like a fire in the sky!

Over at the barn, everybody was waking up.

Here's Nadia
Here's Scout.

Here's Yalla!
And here's Annie's nose.

Here are mare and filly sharing some morning cereal, well, grain. Notice how Yalla has grain on her face!

I noticed that the hairline on Yalla's hind legs are really crooked. Crazy, huh?

The water barrel even had ice floating in it. Boy, is it cold!

Here's one last parting shot of dawn.
Spitting the dawn, come come come along before the animals awake - song: Glass Spider, artist: David Bowie, album: Never Let Me Down

I'll bet your herd was enjoying the sunrise just as much as you were.

Beautiful sunrise!! I sure wish we could get sunrise's like that! Well, I am sure we do, but I just can't see it where I live, too many trees, and clouds!
