I took this photo of Yalla! this morning. Notice how her forehead marking is a huge feathery "plume"? This summer it was the letter "f". At a few days old, it looked like a large feathery plume.
I never knew a horse's markings could change so much! And yet, under all the white in the top photo, I see the hint of an f. I wonder what she'll look like this summer? Will the white fade away to the letter "f" again? Or will I need to change her registration papers?

Hard to say , but it will be fun watching her change
Her star sure has changed! Chance's star has stayed the exact same. It will be very interesting to see how our babies turn out this spring! I am so excited, I can hardly wait!
I think its gonna be an F again. It's just her thick winter fuzz.
We shall stay tuned...
I agree with Sydney; baby markings change with their first winter coat; it is the underlying pink skin that determines the actual marking, the length of the hair causes the change in the shape over the seasons.
I think she's just giving you an idea of how much trouble (in a good way) she's going to be.
