Beautiful photo. I don't know for sure what kind of bird that is but the colors and reflection in the water is awesome.

This is a Sandhill Crane. They are very tall birds that migrate down to New Mexico for the winter. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandhill_Crane
