Scottsdale 2010 road trip, part 4

The next morning, the weather was nasty, chilly and raining. So much for the warm, sunny Phoenix that everyone goes on about. I could tell that my bathing suit was going to stay at the bottom of my suitcase on this trip. We had a quick breakfast at the hotel: waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, coffee, juice, etc. etc. and then we decided to auto tour downtown Phoenix in the rain.

Here's a blurry palm tree taken from the car in downtown Phoenix. ;)
And here's another kind of palm tree. This is Chase Field where the baseball games are held. There's raindrops on the window glass. This beautiful old house is in downtown Phoenix in Heritage Square.
Here's another view of the beautiful, historic house with matching outbuildings.
I'm a sucker for outdoor art. Doesn't this look like a giant pair of fancy high heels?I thought this was an interesting church building.
Last year it was cold on our trip and so this year, the weather was no surprise. On our way over to Phoenix on Friday afternoon, the weather had turned windy and cloudy. Now, it was downright cold at 48 degrees at noon!

Here's a friend's house in Scottsdale. It is typical of a lot of the homes here.
to be continued...

I guess I'd take the 48* over their blistery summer conditions-maybe. You still managed to get some interesting shots.
