Follow my journey into the future. I promise it will be full of random rants, travel and other photos, musical musings, especially BOWIE, general chaos, and all my animal family: four horses, three alpacas, three dogs, and three and a half cats.

Sunday Stills (03-20-11 Canine Companions)
These two photos came from my archives. They were taken on the day that Sandy came to stay with us. Isn't that true love?
Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments. Yeah, we love her. She found us in September last year so, yes, she is named after Little Orphan Annie's Sandy. Don't you think she kind of looks like her, so scruffy?
Thanks for the compliments on Chrome. :D He's 15hh and 800lbs. Considering he's going to be in the sixteen hand range at my best guess he still has quite a bit of growing to do. He'll be two in May, so it'll still be another year before I start riding him. :) I think he and Yalla only have a couple of months between them in age.
Oh forgot to say, I'd noticed that about his mane, how the gray is in the middle. It's really weird and I have no idea why it's doing that. :) I'm wondering if he'll be one of those horses who turn white, but the mane stays black for a long time. Not sure. We'll just have to wait and see. :)
Lol yeah I had considered if the treats were a part of the weight gain but I don't think it is. It's the forty acres of new spring grass that's coming up. I cut the oats out of his ration and I'm cutting way back on the beet pulp and timothy pellets. When I run out of those he'll just be on the ration balancer or the summer along with pasture and hay. :)

Those are great. Sandy has the greatest face and expressions.
Thanks for the warm feeling.
Dan
I don't think I've ever seen a dog with a more expressive face. You know, I'll bet Sandy would be a movie star.
OMG what a face....how could you not fall in love with that dog.
I agree with everyone else. Sandy's face is even more expressive than some humans. Like NM said, she looks like she should be in movies.
Sweet photos :)

That first shot ROCKS! I absolutely love it!
What a cute dog! Did he get his name from Sandy in Little Orphan Annie? :)

I love Sandy's face. She needs her own comic strip. :D

Great first shot! What character in her face! How is she doing now?
What a sweet, kind, loving face.
Very cute pics......but where's Buddha?? I was expecting adorable Buddha pics too. LOL
Awesome photos, and yes that does look like love.
Aw!!! I love the look of love in the last photo.
RR- Buddha is definitely still around. He's just hard to take photos of.
