Roll in the daylight

The other day I let the horses wander around the barn to eat the few grass sprouts that were growing.
Scout took a few minutes from his grazing time to have a good roll.

Doesn't he look satisfied?

There so funny to watch roll and scratch all their itches. Scout looks like he'd be fun to ride. He looks pretty stocky but I'm guessing he's smaller than what the pictures portray him to be.

A rolling horse is a happy horse. They won't roll unless they're content and feel safe. They get the most contented look on their faces while they roll. My gelding, Morgunn, loves to roll in the gravel. I guess it feels like a massage.

Thanks for sharing.

Scout has a belly that I want to rub.

I love Scout, he is so pretty, with his pinto and Appy markings!
My horses always roll, right when I want to bring them out to ride! Silly!

hehe! Silly Scout. That's cool that you got up so close to him while he was rolling.

ps. Looks like I should change my foal date now. How about 6-6-09 at 9:06pm.

His belly is so white, isn't it?
Silly boy, Scout!

With his pinto spots, his appaloosa blanket and spots, his oversized blaze face, his three stockings and a sock, I guess you could say he has lots of "chrome", huh?

RBF- yes, he's only 14.2 so he's rather small, but he is fun to ride. Thanks for the compliment, it means a lot to me.

Dan- He loves to roll and can even roll back and forth several times.

NM- I know, right?

PG- Thanks, mine especially like to roll when it's muddy.

Lisa, your date is changed. Good luck.
