Well, I said hello and I said hello

This morning when I went to the barn, there was a surprise! No, not Annie's foal- she's due on June 14th. Thank goodness, maybe it'll be warmer by then.

Everything was white! We often have white Easters up here in the mountains. Maybe that's why they use colored eggs!

There was a basket waiting for the horses. Since it was so cold and Annie was shivering, I gave them all a helping of carrots, corn, and sweet feed along with their breakfast hay. They didn't eat the egg though!
The horses wanted to pass along a neighborly Happy Easter to everyone!

Happy Easter! Those eggs and carrots sure show up brightly against a snowy backdrop.

Good for you. We just had some more showers Sunday morning and after Saturday's rain the horses were pretty sad looking.

Sorry about the snow...we had showers, which is typical.

Poor Baby Doll missed out on the Easter Bunny visit, but I don't think she suffered too much. lol!

Thanks for visiting everyone, I hope you all had a very happy "hoppy" Easter too.

Guess what? I left the basket on a hay bale and when Scout came out of his stall, he headed straight for it. He grabbed one of the eggs and I could hear him chewing the plastic. Then he spit it all out. Silly boy, Scout!

I just read your comment here, Val. How cute is that? I thought about taking carrots out to our horses, but there just wasn't time. I knew that it would make a cute blog post--and looking here, I was right! I'm not I didn't do it because your idea was so much cuter. With their own basket?? Adorable. Happy late Easter to you! :)

Has the snow melted?

Our spring snows melt away within a few hours, usually. It's very pretty while it lasts though.
