Hospital

Well, I'm off to surgery to get pins in my ankle. Wish me luck!

Hospital - song: Baal's Hymn, artist: David Bowie, album: Baal

Update- my surgery is over. It was a little more than originally intended. I now have a plate and six screws instead of just two pins as the doctor said on Monday. I'm high on drugs so my blogging is limited right now. Thanks everyone for your well wishes, prayers, and comments.

Aw geez! Hope surgery goes well. Had to do some backreading to catch up. Sounded like a nasty fall. Glad to hear more damage was not done to you.

Your kiddo's finger looks like Meg's did all winter. Last November she slammed her finger in a car door and it was just as ugly. The nail came off months later and is just now starting to grow back in.

Thanks for calling and letting me know when you were out of surgery today. I thought about you all morning and worryied about you.

I'm hoping the pain isn't too bad. Don't do like I did after my ACL surgery and allow the pain meds to wear off. Take them regularly for at least the first 48 hours after the surgery.

Hang in there,
xoxo

Oh Geez, Val! I just read these posts. Broken tibia is right and screws and plates. You don't mess around when you get hurt and neither does your son. That finger looks very very sore too.

Hope you both heal quickly. I'll be thinking of you and SO glad you were wearing your helmet.
