In my last Sunday Stills photo challenge, I posted about Loretto, the chapel of our Lady of Light. Here are more photos. I took a tour of the chapel a couple of months ago and wanted to share them with you. Click on the following photo to enlarge so that you can read it.
Here's a miniature model of the staircase. I find it amazing how perfectly it fits!
And here's the real thing!
Aren't these stained glass windows beautiful? "I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last".
This sure is a pretty little confessional, isn't it.
Not only is the staircase beautiful; here is the altar. Look at the structure of the ceiling!
I found this photograph very interesting. The staircase is obiously well made that so many can stand on it at once!
Hope you enjoyed my little tour of the Loretto Chapel. For mote information, check here at the Loretto Chapel website. Imagine getting married there!

Beautiful chapel. The staircase is amazing and I love the woodwork on the confessional.
It's a beautiful and holy place.
the top symbol of the three stained glass windows is the original peace sign.
i see it here on churches and had to ask the locals.
What a stunning place. Isn't it amazing how beautiful and lasting architecture used to be. So much of what is built now is at best plain. A lot of it is downright ugly.
Just lovely. Some of the woodwork reminds me of the church I attended as a child.
Yes, it's very beautiful, inside and out.
Thanks, Lytha, I did not know that about the peace symbol.
The old chapels were so beautiful. That is a great staircase.
That place is so beautiful! I love old chapels and other buildings. I'm glad people are still using them. :)
