This week's challenge was to photograph doors and doorknobs. Most teepees don't have doors but this modified motel room in Holbrook, AZ has one.
I've always liked the Scottish Rites Temple doorway in Santa Fe, NM, very Moorish, in design, isn't it?
This beautiful doorway is on the grounds of the Sanctuario de Chimayo, a Catholic church in Chimayo, New Mexico.
The doorways you see here are part of the oldest house in Santa Fe. Notice how deep the door frame is. Parts of this building date back to the 1600s and it is continuously restuccoed with mud over the adobe bricks to keep it looking good.I find the two different size doors next to each other rather interesting, don't you? The near square (walled in window?) is showing the adobe bricks underneath the stucco.
Aren't these doors pretty on this mission church made of rocks?

You got some great shots! I think my favorite is the Catholic church, but there are a few really cool ones. Great job!
Great pictures of the doors. They are all very interesting. You always find the best photos. Happy Mother's Day. Hope you're feeling better.
I have to say the last shot is my favorite, but I liked them all. My favortie part of the country, New Mexico. :)
Great shots, love the detail on the doors especially the Catholic Church.
All interesting stuff. It looks like that teepee even has a crooked window.
You have such neat architecture in your state. I love the Sacred Heart door.
You put some effort into this post! Nice shots.
