I love elephants and went to see Dr Leakey speak when I worked at the Rio Grande Zoo. Between that experience and reading "When Elephants Cry", I was hooked.

They are truly much more intelligent than we give them credit for. And very emotional creatures.

I loved the attention to detail, the use of color, the lines. This elephant could rival even the best human artist.

I'm assuming the elephants there are taught Artisitc Ability and Techniques, since I did see other elephants painting and other finished art easels walking by.

But even so, either you've got it or you don't. I took art for years and studied and practiced, but I am greatly lacking.

This elephant has the artisitic eye and is very talented.

I like the sounds of the people as the elephant was painting, too. Fun!
