So, last night, I had the bright idea of hosing her leg down. Mind you, she has never been hosed down before. Anyway, I turned on the hose and she jumped around like crazy on the lead. She even reared a little! Uh oh, my sweet little girl has a dark side. Anyway, I realized that if only I could get the water on her she would calm down but she kept swinging around me and I kept having to step over the hose. Well, I tripped and went down on my back into the mud as she bolted forward over me. I think she managed to step on my face. I guess I was really lucky she missed my eyes and nose and nothing got broken. My glasses were knocked off my face but they didn't get broken either. Whew!
Yes, I am terribly muddy, but here is an immediately after photo. I happened to have my camera with me since I was taking sunset photos. She gave me a busted lip, both top and bottom. My teeth are a little sore and so is the area under my mouth.

You are very fortunate to come away with so little damage. I know it does not feel lucky but it could have certaintly been far worse.
I would say water training, with help, will be next on your list.
Take the weekend and do something there can be no danger lurking within. I seem to have more accidents when I am too tired.
I am rubbing Budda's belly, kissing my rabbit's root and looking for a four leaf clover just for you.
Take care of yourself.
Holy crap, ouch!!
Ouch! Good thing it was Yalla! and not one of your full size horses. That could have been a whole lot worse.
I doubt Apache has been washed for years, or maybe at all. When I've tried to pour water on her with a sponge or brush, she gets antsy and dances around like Yalla! did with you. Just another thing to work on, eh?
I sure hope your hurricane of bad luck blows over and is gone soon. You've been through enough already. Sheesh!
Oh, like Sydney said, get some arnica. That's some good stuff for pain and swelling.

Yikes! Well that's three things for you so your bad luck should be over.
Argh! Perusing blogs this morning I'm seeing a lot of injuries. I think you need to lay low for a while until this black cloud over you moves on or dissipates. Sorry about all the lousy luck you've been having.
Oh my! That looksa painful. Is there a neighbor around who could come and give you a hand with stuff like that? It can be tough to handle a baby and hose all at the same time. Take care
Ouch.
Dan
Oh goodness! That looks like it hurts!! I hope you are feeling better soon!!
Ouch!
Glad you are basically okay and that you weren't too sore the next day or two after.
Oh no! I've been MIA for a week and look at you! I'm so glad it wasn't worse!
Babies are so dangerous. Ours at the barn is just a little terror, because he has no idea the rest of us aren't as solid as horses.
Sending you healing thoughts.
Basically, I had my face stepped on because under my mouth is all swollen too. There's a circle of swollen area from my upper lip down. The inside of my mouth is all black. Is that a form of hoof in mouth?? I'm just lucky no teeth were broken and she missed my eyes and nose. Jeez!
Darn it VAL!
So sorry!
New things like- the deadly cold water- are lurking all summer I have a feeling!
Hope her swelling, and yours, goes down!

Ouch!! I'm glad you didn't suffer any hospital worthy damage although I'm sure what you did get hurts enough. That must have been terrifying! I'm glad you're (sort of) okay.
