A couple of weekends ago I met up with some blogging friends for dinner:
I think we picked the most popular place to eat in the city because we had to wait over an hour for a table, but we got to spend the time talking. The funniest thing, all three of us horse bloggers had on horsey earrings, and it was completely unplanned!
The next day, I met with nine girlfriends from the "Girls' Club", a group of ex-employees from my first job. They've been meeting monthly for the past ten years or more and I join them whenever I can. My mom also worked with them so she comes to lunch whenever she's in town too.
It was so cold and windy that when Betty offered me a blanket I happily accepted it for my lap! When 'Breathe' arrived, she greeted us all and then went to get a blanket. Thinking she got it for herself, I was surprised when she threw it over my shoulders and said that I looked cold. LOL! Thanks again, I was cold!! And she's from south Texas! in a borrowed coat!!!
Here's Lisa, Smokey, and 'Breathe'. Smokey is the nicest little Morgan horse. He is a great representative of the breed!
It was great fun watching them learn new things and grow together. Under Mark's careful and attentive instruction, I think Smokey moved from kindergarten to mid school!
Don't they look nice in this next photo?

A nice weekend spent with great people! That Smoky is sure a cutie
It's nice you guys were able to get together - I've never met another horse blogger in person but maybe someday I will.
One of the best parts of blogging is "meeting" new friends virtually. Then, to actually meet in real life and get to talk "horses" in person - how cool is that? Wow, what a great post about a fun blogger friends meet up!
Yep, El Pinto's is one of the favorite restaurants in Albuquerque so it's not surprising you had to wait.
I'm sorry Betty and I couldn't join you.

I've been reading Breathe's posts on her clinic experience with great interest. It's so great to see someone get so much out of a clinic experience. Smokey and Breathe are making a great team.
What did you think of the clinic from a auditing point of view?
You all look like you had a great time, too bad it was so cold.
Very neat to meet other bloggers. I know how cool it was when I met you! Mark Rashid would have been pretty impressive, too!
Hi Val, I'm finally getting to Sunday in my clinic posts (darn work life and kids! Yesh!).
THanks again for the great pictures. Next time I go (and I'm DEFINITELY going) we are planning a trail ride. Get those horses loading! LOL
That was fun. Mark is one of a kind.
