when it's bad I go to pieces

I have had such a spell of bad luck lately.

I went to the doctor for my knee on Tuesday. I rehurt it climbing on Scout Sunday morning and jeez, that trailer loading incident was a fiasco!!! She ordered me a big hunky leg brace and had me go for x-rays. She was hinting at a meniscus injury. We'll see... As she said, it's not broken but in order to use insurance all the steps must be followed. I don't know when I go for an MRI. The funny thing is, it doesn't hurt much and I have a lot of flexibility in my knee however, I cannot straighten my leg out or bend it more than about half way. I wouldn't have gone to the doctor at all except that Sunday took me completely by surprise with how much pain I got so suddenly. I keep wondering what could happen if I hurt my other leg...

A couple of weeks ago, I bought tickets through Ebay for a Denver U2 concert on June 12th. Since it was a Saturday night, my sister in law and I were going to go. Then last weekend, I found out that the 360 tour is being postponed until 2011 because of Bono's emergency back surgery. Now, I wonder how I am going to get my money back or when the concert will be rescheduled. What a drag!!

When it rains it pours as they say. Hope you haven't injured your knee too badly and it's just a sprain or something easy. Too bad about the concert but I'm sure you can find a way to get your money back eventually.

Hang in there, it will get better.

Don't give up. It's easy to let your problems cloud your whole world and it's hard to see what's good in your life.

Take a deep breath and go out and hold your horses.

The thing about knees is they are almost always in use. to stand walk run , balance ,sit etc. Many years ago in what I like to call my first childhood I went on a highschool trip to Itally (think ealry eighties 17 yrs old = not terribly smart) Anyhow the last night in Rome , we got fairly tipsy and decided to climb the fence at the holiday in and go swimming . Me and my drunk knee , made it over ,but twisted it badly coming back. "walked it off" and came home with a slight limp. However that knee is the one that plagues me to this day and is the one that the doc's are threatening joint replacement surgery. It hurt like a son of a buck when I did it , but quite honestly after a while it was not bad ,so I never had it checked until it swelled up years later. So do check it out , it is amazing what they can do if it caught early. Also ,now you can stop laughing at my youthful idiocy

Bummer. Well I guess this means no riding on Monday and probably no ACTHA rides either.
I'm sorry you're having to deal with such bad luck right now. Things will get better. Eventually they always do.
I like what Dan said. :)

Sorry about the knee. Hope it's something that can heal on its own.

I also hope they reschedule the concert -- U2 puts on an awesome show.
