"Hey dirty,"

Today is "dirty" Annie day. Oh my! Just look at the clay beads in her mane.

I'll be posting more "dirty" photos soon, so stay tuned...

Geeze thats an Indigo look if I did see one. Does Annies dirt come off making her look as clean as Indigo? I swear my girl has teflon coated hair
What happened to your poor girls tail!? I think you need some hot sauce and a tail bag, Yalla been eating it?

Boy, that horse needs to go to the car wash!

Someone told me that's how they clean their horses. Isn't that amazing? Talk about a desensitization challenge!

I know this dirt...I know the mane mud beads. Not fun for us humans, but horses sure do love mud!

Annie has a thin coat. She does clean up but she never really 'looks' clean. Our dirt has a reddish clay base so it stains a little.

Annie's tail was eaten by Yalla! when she was still nursing even though I tried chili powder, paprika, and even dish soap. Yalla! went after Nadia's tail too. Now she is stabled alone so she can't do any more damage. Sad, huh! And on top of that, I have to worry about Yalla's little stomach that is probably full of "bad stuff" and her getting colic.

Hey, a girl needs a beauty mud bath every once in a while -- right?

Look at her strut! I love cleaning tack & getting it ready for riding season, but boy do I hate cleaning horses!

Hows the knee?

Well, I can understand mud baths once in a while, but all the time??

The knee is getting much better although far from normal. I use a knee brace and can walk but I am afraid to try to walk without it yet.

Yup that is a grubby girl! I have a few that look that way here! She still is a pretty mover though even all muddy the beauty shines through

I was up there giving the horses scratches today. Annie really got into it. I don't think I've ever seen Annie so muddy before.

I never had a problem with Baby Doll and mud. I don't remember her ever having clay beads anywhere. Like Sydney I think she was coated in Teflon.

Not so with Apache. She's wearing much the same kind of 'jewelry' as Annie, just not as layered. lol!
With all the shedding the horses are doing now, the mud just makes it mat together. What a mess!

Annie's tail reminds me of a feather duster in that last pic. Very cute! Wheeee!

Hope your knee heals quick.
